Adrienne Thurman has always had a big love of language and word games, but it wasn’t until she was all grown up that she started playing with words in new ways—snapping them into picture book texts like a puzzle. She feels so honored to tell stories to incredible and diverse kids . . . and their adults too! Biography

Kaylani Juanita‘s mission as an artist is to support the stories of the underrepresented and create new ways for people to imagine themselves. Her work has been featured by the Society of Illustrators and the BBC, and she is the illustrator of the picture books Together We Ride and the Stonewall Book Award–winning When Aidan Became a Brother.
