After successfully completing her first official mission as a moonleaper, Maisie is faced with repercussions in her own timeline from going back and changing the past. Everything feels slightly off, and Maisie is having trouble keeping track of what happened in which timeline. One thing that’s still the same? Maisie’s pesky younger siblings, who keep sticking their noses into her business.

Things go from bad to worse when Ainsley, the only person who knows what Maisie is going through, warns Maisie that the Moonleapers hotline—Maisie’s lifeline to navigating time travel—can’t be trusted in her new world. When timelines start to glitch around Maisie, she inadvertently learns she is the last Moonleaper.
